Hannukainen Mining gives responses to Finland’s and Sweden’s statements simultaneously
The administrative court of Vaasa has decided to dismiss the complaints about the exploration permit of Hannukainen Mining Oy. The regional state administrative agency approved on 23 April 2017 the announcement of the exploratory operations (mining of ore). The complaints were about the decision concerning the announcement. The exploratory mining, which followed the regulations, took place in summer 2017 and it caused neither harm to the environment nor contamination.
The court fees are to be paid by those who had filed the complaint. The decision of the administrative court have been announced on 15 June 2019 and it comes into effect after two months provided that no appeals are launched. The administrative court obligates the municipal board of Kolari to announce the decision on their bulletin board.
